An 18mm clinical-grade NFC temperature sensing tag — designed entirely in-house to validate our own engineering capability. Formic Tag monitors temperature throughout pharmaceutical cold chains and perishable logistics, with no battery, no app pairing, and clinical-grade accuracy.
Cold chain temperature loggers are either expensive active devices with limited battery life, or passive labels that can't log data. We needed to bridge that gap in an 18mm form factor.
We selected an NXP NFC sensor IC that harvests power directly from the reader field, eliminating the battery entirely. The PCB was designed to fit within a rigid 18mm circular boundary, with custom antenna tuning for reliable read range.
A manufacturing-ready design with verified ±0.1°C accuracy, zero battery dependency, and a form factor small enough for individual pharmaceutical packaging. Full hardware design, firmware, and companion app — entirely in-house.

A commercial fleet operator needed a unified charging management platform across AC and DC chargers from multiple hardware vendors — with real-time load balancing, remote diagnostics, and integration into their fleet management software.
A smart home hardware company needed a full lineup of Matter-certified devices — smart switches, smart lights, environmental sensors, and an energy monitoring platform — that could interoperate natively with Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa without proprietary bridges or custom apps. The challenge was achieving Matter certification across the entire product family while keeping BOM costs competitive for mass-market pricing.
A pharmaceutical distributor needed end-to-end temperature traceability across their cold chain — from warehouse to last-mile delivery — to meet regulatory compliance. Existing solutions were either expensive per-unit active loggers or paper-based manual records with no real-time alerting.
